Join Axios D.C. at Bethesda’s new bookstore, Wonderland Books, on October 22 for our next book club event!

Why it matters: Book discussions, wine, your fellow Axios D.C. readers … need we say more?

What’s happening: Axios D.C. reporter Mimi Montgomery will interview author Annie Hartnett about her new novel, "The Road to Tender Hearts," which follows an old man who suddenly finds himself on a hilarious and heartfelt cross-country road trip while caring for two orphans and a cat that can predict death.

Guests will also have the chance to ask  Hartnett questions about her book.

We’ll have wine, and attendees are welcome to hang around before and after to check out the store and meet fellow readers.

The fine print: Wonderland will have copies of "The Road to Tender Hearts" for sale, and you can also buy it ahead of time via their Bookshop link.

It's free to attend the event, but please register in advance.
